Hiking is an activity known to work wonders for the body. It not only helps with stronger bones and muscles, but it also has several mental health benefits. Getting yourself surrounded by nature works as an instant mood-booster, which leads to a reduction in stress. Stress is known to be a significant cause of high blood pressure and heart disease. Hiking is also said to calm anxiety. Similarly, completion of a hiking trail instills a sense of accomplishment that enhances self-]confidence. This helps open up doors to self-awareness. Other than improving your mental health, hiking allows you to improve your relationships as you move through the challenging trails with a partner. |
