Justin Marrus - Senior Assistant DA in Brooklyn, New York
Drawing upon nearly a decade of relevant legal experience in a professional and internship capacity, Justin Marrus serves as senior assistant district attorney in the Kings County District Attorney's Office in Brooklyn, New York. Since taking the position in November 2011, Justin Marrus has tried more than 15 cases to verdict involving crimes such as homicide, armed robbery, narcotics distribution, and financial fraud. As part of his duties, he has interviewed hundreds of criminal defendants and civilian witnesses and collaborated with law enforcement agencies including the FBI, NYPD, and United States Marshals Service.
Before joining the Kings County District Attorney's Office, Justin Marrus, an avid cyclist, completed a bicycle trip from New York to San Francisco. Months earlier, he had earned a juris doctor from the New England School of Law and previously completed a bachelor's degree in criminal justice at Roger Williams University. While attending those institutions, Mr. Marrus completed six summer internships with the law firm of Heidell, Pittoni, Murphy and Bach, LLP.
